FARM ESTATES CONCEPT
The program aims at growing the agric sector in Ghana, providing jobs for about 1000 people in the pilot phase and up to 7000 people in the operational phase and sustaining Ghanaian industries with raw materials.
Each farm estate project follows the model of a standard Outgrower scheme (contract farming) where the farmers enter into a purchasing agreement with a processing factory (or buyer) to receive technical and/or financial support during the farming period in exchange for farm produce or discounted rate of farm produce during the harvest period
The Farm Estate is taking place in the Akuapem South District where existing farmers are invited to join the project and parcels of land have been secured for new farmers to purchase and also benefit from the project
Package Price Starts: GHS 9500 per Acre/year
